While boarding is a suitable option for many confident, social animals, sometimes boarding in a new space can be an unnecessarily stressful situation for your pet, as well as for you. Did you know, we specialize in offering pet-sitting for reactive dogs? Reactive dogs often need a lot more time getting comfortable with strange people so that they feel safe, fear-free, and comfortable in their own home and with a new person coming and going. Many of our pet-sitting clients have reactive dog (towards dogs and/or people), and we are very familiar with and comfortable with handling different scenarios and needs. Every dog needs a different amount of time to get comfortable with a new person and feel safe in their presence, and we have Meet and Greet packages that can accommodate any additional needs of a dog who needs more time.
We also accommodate a variety of species of animals! From small animals, to reptiles, invertebrates, birds, cats, dogs and other exotic pets. Feel free to reach out to us and we can discuss what you have, our experience with those animals (and if we don’t have experience, we are happy to let you know as honesty is our commitment to you!), how many pets you have, and find a pricing plan that meets your needs!
Meet and Greets are offered at no additional cost prior to you finalizing your decision to go with us as your pet sitting provider, ensuring both you and your pet are comfortable and satisfied. At our Meet and Greet, we will go over the following:
- Yours and your pet’s daily routine
- Your pet’s feeding routine
- A tour of the home
- Where cleaning supplies are kept for clean up
- Where you would like us to stay
- Your pet’s over-all routine, likes, dislikes, medical history, behavioral, etc
- Your Emergency Contacts and Preferred Veterinarians in case of Emergency
- Access to the home via keys or security systems
- Our Pet Sitting Service Agreement
- Booking Dates and Check In/Out Times and Payment
$70/night
Pet Sitting depends upon availability, schedules and location. If we are unable to accommodate your needs, we may be able to recommend someone that follows the same ethics!
Pet-sitting prices include two animals, with additional animals incurring further costs; if you have a multi-pet home, please reach out to get an individualized quote! Outside of the city of Calgary may include a small additional fee as well.
Dog Walking and Training is not included in pet sitting and dog walking packages may not be used towards dog walking services during pet-sitting. Dog Walking and Training rates can be found under our other Services.
Pet-sitting over the holidays will have holiday rates (please contact us to inquire). Holidays include: New Years, the week leading up to and following Christmas Day/Eve, and Easter.
We do not offer pet-sitting on December 24th and 25th
Overnight Pet Sitting includes:
- overnight stay + pee breaks (dogs) during the day
- taking your dogs outside for bathroom breaks
- providing mental stimulation through play
- clean small animal/bird/reptile enclosures (if applicable)
- feeding am/pm and refreshing water
- scooping litterboxes/picking up feces
- taking out trash/compost/recycling
- watering plants
- bringing in mail
- walk through to ensure home is secure
- cleaning up after your pet
- leaving your home in the same state we entered it in
Booking Policy:
You may determine booking our Services after a Meet and Greet and dates have been confirmed available. All payments will be made, in full, at the time of booking, via cash, credit, or e-transfer as determined by Client, as this ensures your spot to be booked. We CANNOT book your spot in our Calendar without your payment, as we frequently have requests for Pet Sitting. We ask for bookings to be made as far in advance as possible, with a minimum of 48 hours notice. While we may accommodate less notice for bookings, this will be at the discretion of Beyond Dog.
Cancellations Policies: Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded at the discretion of Beyond Dog Training and Pet Services. We understand “life happens” and may make exceptions in extenuating circumstances. Cancellations made with 48 hours notice will receive a 50% refund, while cancellations with 7 days or more notice, will be allotted a full refund minus a $50.00 admin fee. Cancellations may be rescheduled (as determined by Client) in lieu of refund, provided there is 48 hours or more notice.
*Please note that when discussing Rescheduling, we do have other Clients, and some dates may not be available.
Daytime Pet Sitting:
When you need someone to be with your pet while you are away from home, but you don’t necessarily need overnight care. Only available upon availability.
Price starts at $55/3 hours, and goes up $20/hour after that. Walks can be added on at our dog walking rates.
All Booking and Cancellations Policies remain the same as Overnight Pet Sitting. Please see above.
